What’s Included in the Free XCD Demo

Our XCD demo fleet is built to give you real perspective on modern XCD setups, not just a quick parking lot impression. Whether you’re dialing in your first XCD rig or refining what you already ski, this lineup lets you feel the differences where it actually matters: on snow.

Boots

On the boot side, we’re running two proven options from Alpina. The Alaska XP and Pioneer Light offer different personalities, the Alaska XP being an industry favorite for solid all-around performance, and the Light offering weight savings as well as a budget price point.

Bindings

For bindings, you’ll have access to the modern Rottefella Xplore system. Xplore delivers more lateral stability and edge control than traditional Nordic touring bindings while remaining lightweight and efficient for covering ground.

The underfoot connection improves power transfer and control in variable snow, without sacrificing a natural stride. Mounted on Voile skis, it’s a clean balance of touring efficiency and downhill confidence.

Skis

Every demo setup is mounted on Voile scale-based skis, so you’re skiing a complete, well-matched system from boots to bindings to boards. The goal is simple: help you leave the shop knowing exactly what works for you.

Accesories

Reserve Your Demo With Code “FREEXCD“

Booking your free XCD demo is straightforward and only takes a few minutes.

1. Head to the Voile Rental Center
   Start on the Voile Rental Center page on voile.com.
2. Select Your Date Range
   Choose your demo dates within the free-demo window (Monday, Feb 23rd – Saturday, Feb 28th, 2026). Demos are limited to one 36-hour period per person. (Demo bookings that begin on Saturday will need to be returned the following Monday).
3. Choose Your Gear
   Pick your boot + binding + ski combination from the available XCD options. Limited to one setup per person booking.
4. Enter the Promo Code
   Apply the free demo promo code “FREEXCD“ at checkout to zero out the rental cost.
5. Register an Account or Log in
   You’ll be required to register an account to log into our system, or simply log in to our existing account if you’ve rented with us before. Credit card information is required for liability purposes.
   • You will not be charged unless the gear is damaged or returned late.
6. Pick Up in Salt Lake City
   Demos are picked up and returned in person at our Salt Lake City retail location.
   • If your ski plans change, please notify the Voile team to cancel your reservation.
