The toe piece is essentially the same as that of the Hardwire 3-Pin, being robustly constructed of the same 6016-T6 aluminum and tempered steel toe bail. The 3-Pin Cable Traverse employs a similar, but slightly-lower, heel pad than the Hardwire 3-Pin, but, likewise, offers dual-height climbing elevators. By contrast, 3-Pin Cable Traverse makes use of our time-honored, cable springs, rather than rods and cartridge springs, and drops 11 ounces of weight, per pair, in the process.
Unlike the Voilé 3-Pin Cable binding, the 3-Pin Cable Traverse mounts to a ramped 10mm riser. (All Voilé risers are pre-drilled with a 4-hole pattern that is standard in the industry.) This moderate shim still provides good leverage for tipping the ski without scraping the toe piece, as well as better purchase into the ski core, itself.
Versatility on a diet. That’s the 3-Pin Cable Traverse.

I wanted a solid 3-pins to mount on an XCD setup, that would be bomber enough to handle anything I wanted. Priorities were also: simple, reliable, capable of good turns for downhill too.
That is what I got. They were easy to mount, they are easy to ski, and they are a nice in-between from my standard 3-pin and my switchbacks!

I learned to drop a knee with a set of these on some 210 Karhu XCD GTs. They're currently mounted on some SnowBlades (with skins!) for radical Fun. Don't fix what ain't broke, ayuh.

What a great, easy to use 3 pin binding! I have a pair of these mounted up for my son (9 years old) so that he can accompany me on low angle ski-a-bouts in the mountains near our home. I love the easy adjustability of the heel spring lengths, they have been able to fit two different sized boots as my son has grown. The toe piece is relatively easy to use for my son, though I need to help him fully clip his toes in as he isn’t quite strong enough. They hold his little boots very well and once he is in, he is secure and ready for adventure! Overall, a great binding for any age!
