These little inserts are brilliant, adding lots of function to the already functional 3-pin binding. I predict 3-pins will have a new renascence when people rediscover that they are by far the best binding for covering ground, and with a little skill can handle all but extreme down hill. My wife and I have skied hundreds miles over the years on extended backcountry trips in Yellowstone and the Colorado mountains. Our standard set up,: Scarps T4's in hardwire bindings with ice tape, usually without the cables. Wouldn't thing of using anything else.
