The ATK Newmark Lite is designed around an efficient tech-toe pivot and a true telemark descent. The Newmark Freelock Heel adds another option: the ability to lock down a compatible boot for alpine-style parallel skiing.

Mounted behind the Newmark Lite binding, the Freelock Heel engages the boot’s rear tech fitting. It can be useful when difficult snow, tired legs, or a long exit make a fixed heel more appealing than another telemark turn.

At a published weight of 160 grams per heel unit, the Freelock adds fixed-heel capability without replacing the rest of the Newmark system. The boot must have a compatible rear tech fitting to engage the heel.
