Lightweight Control for Technical Terrain
The Alpina Pioneer TECH XP Boot is the lightest and most supportive boot in the Pioneer XP lineup. At 752 grams per boot in a size 45, it combines an efficient touring feel with the lateral stability needed to control wider XCD skis and navigate more technical backcountry terrain.
Carbon reinforcement wraps the heel and ankle, creating a secure platform that limits unwanted movement without making the boot feel rigid through the stride. Three flex zones allow the forefoot to move naturally while touring, giving the Pioneer TECH a smooth, efficient kick with noticeably more precision when it is time to descend.
The lightweight textile and synthetic upper is backed by Alpina’s Alpitex waterproof/breathable membrane to help keep moisture out while allowing heat to escape. Thinsulate insulation adds warmth without unnecessary bulk, while the anatomic footbed, shaped tongue, and precise lacing system create a close, comfortable fit for long days in the backcountry.
Paired with Rottefella’s Xplore sole and SpringPin system, the Pioneer TECH delivers a natural stride, strong edge-to-edge control, and a direct connection between the boot and binding.
