For steep, icy, and exposed ascents or that frustrating icy skin track, there is the Voilé splitboard crampon.
Used with Voilé splitboard skins, the Voile splitboard crampon can function fixed to your splitboard or mobile for easy walking.
The fixed mode is recommended for high exposure and where security in each step is essential. The slot in the back of the crampon fits under the heel pad for the fixed mode.
The mobile mode is for more moderate ascents and will increase energy efficiency by decreasing drag of the crampon on each step. A rotating puck holds the crampon to the binding for the mobile mode.
The crampon is attached to the board half using a longer Slider Pin(4 9/16") made specifically for the crampon. This Slider Pin will work for securing your binding for ride mode.
Includes a pair of crampons and nylon storage bag.
*Fixed mode is NOT compatible with the inclusion of the Voile Heel Lock

Great bit of extra protection on icy slopes
Bought this to add to my DIY split board kit and they fit perfectly. Quick to put on and off, and gives me a lot more confidence when doing split board mountaineering in California.

Efficient, solid, reassuring
I really enjoy splitboarding, but i'm afraid of heights, especially on icy and steepy slopes. I quickly feel uncomfortable while going up. But when i put this crampons, i immediately feel safe, securely anchored to the mountain. The mobile mode is great, no loss of efficiency.
The main default is the time needed to put them in and out, that's one of the reason why I recently bought STS bindings & crampons.
