The Axl is 22 Designs' free-pivot 75mm telemark binding. It features a bombproof 6-hole mounting pattern, long-lasting chrome die springs, and a front assembly built of tough stainless steel.

The Axl combines a secure 6-hole mount with a rugged stainless steel toepiece and chrome die springs for a durable 75mm setup that can be used in both resort and backcountry environments.

In tour mode, the Axl offers free-pivot touring with approximately 50 degrees of resistance-free motion, while cables routed underfoot let 75mm “duckbill” boots flex at the bellows for active flex and lateral stability on the descent.

Preload is easily adjusted using three slic pin positions, and a pole-activated ski/walk mode lets skiers switch between free-pivot touring and ski mode on the fly—flip to tour on the skintrack, then lock it back in when it is time to drop.
