A Classic Recast for the Modern Leather Boot
The 3-pin telemark binding has always stood for simplicity and reliability in the backcountry. And the Voile 201 has long been a favorite among leather boot loyalists.
The Voile 201 AK 3-Pin is a thoughtfully updated version of our legacy 201 binding—redesigned for a cleaner fit with modern leather boots like the Alpina Alaska 75. We kept everything that made the original a minimalist’s dream: the low profile, the bombproof construction, and the stripped-down functionality that just works. Then we refined the fit around the toe box for less wear on your boots and a smoother interface overall.
If you’re looking for a no-nonsense tele binding that pairs beautifully with a leather boot, this is it.

I ski on both bindings and boots and love them. I was surprised on the performance of the Rottefella. This boot and binding were fun to tour in and easy to hike up the steeps.
The setup is unique, but I feel safer on my 3-pin on steep descents. I would give the Rottefella 4 stars and the 3-pin 5 stars on the downhill. Don't take it as there that much better it's just my opinion. I would highly recommend both setups if you're a 3-pin tele skier.
