    Review for Voile V8 Skis
Several years ago I got a set of Voile Busters. With 2 carbon sheets and a big sidecut, those skis ripped!! At least, they ripped until a Dynafit toepiece ripped out of them.\n\nSince I'd loved those skis, I didn't hesitate to replace them with a set of V8's. From the first turn, they were kind of disappointing. The softer construction (only 1 carbon layer) meant that the shovels folded over at any hint of forward pressure. High speeds or manky snow meant I had to keep my speed waaaaaay down.\n\nTo be fair, I'll bet the pushback from the shovels makes these great for tele skiers. Weight the shovel, and it won't sink....ever. But it also won't charge.....ever. So for backcountry skiers on pintech bindings, avoid these unless you also avoid speed.\n\nA final note (and big part of the 2 star rating)-my Busters failed because the soft wood cores on Voile skis don't hold up to hard skiing-and entire toepiece ripped out of a ski with 50ish days on it. Now Voile won't honor warranty if you put threaded inserts in!? The combination of low density wood and inadequate fiberglass matting in the binding mounting zone are a recipe for binding screws to rip out. And now you can't do the one thing that might prevent that without voiding your warranty.
Note From Store Owner: Thanks for the review. We have seen threaded inserts (quiver killers) fail which is why are don't warranty them. Our ski mounting patches have since been reinforced with additional fiberglass, and will hold up to hundreds of days of skiing if they're properly mounted, maintained, and used in appropriate conditions. \n\nBased on the review, it sounds like the SuperCharger has skiing characteristics that would better match your pursuit of speed and performance in mank.
    Great idea poorly executed

Review for Voile STS Tour Bindings
Just bought and immediately sent back these toe pieces. Had time to set them up for a dry test. Not too heavy, simple and easy to use, could lock and unlock with my pole and never missed unlike the spring loaded designs. As good as it was looking for this binding I ran into a few issues. The first minor issue is that the toe piece is too low. With my arcteryx proclines I would need to knotch out a lug of the tread to miss the base of the locking hinge. On my La Sportiva Siderals the boot hits near the crampon mount keeping the boot from resting flat and creating standing tention on the inserts. These issues are relatively small but worth mentioning. \n The major and intolerable flaw is the amount of friction at the boot binding attachment. So much friction that when the board is lifted off the ground the tip will not raise. There is enough friction that when the board is set flat the boot can be held suspended in the air and it takes some force to push it down. \n I have now talked with the sales manager and he has not been able to assure me that he can produce a binding that will behave any different and I have come to the realization this is a design flaw not just a defective part. He has also assured me they will look into it and take the issue seriously. Knowing this I would warn anyone thinking of purchasing this product for the 2020-2021 season that you will be paying voile to do thier R&D as this product does not currently seem to be ready for market.

Review for Hyper Glide Splitboard Climbing Skins with Voile Tail Clips – 130mm
They are indeed lightweight, the new glue is awesome, and glide is no issue. HOWEVER, the real purpose of a skin is to climb and these are subpar to previous Voile Climbing skins I have used over the last decade. Just took em out in non-technical conditions on a skin track that wasn't crazy steep and the grip was extremely poor. I don't see myself ever using them after today's experience.

Review for Standard Voile Strap Keeper 4-Pack
Ordered set of keepers "just in case" to use it on the go in the backcountry on skis, pack, sled etc to hold the strap ends together neatly, and ... it is very hard to use, hard to insert and slide the strap inside the keeper slots as its uber tight, even with bare hands good luck to do it on wind, snow and cold. It completely kills the main features of the Voile Straps - no deployment time. Found very limited and specific use case range. Actually - almost useless on winter. Good idea but bad implementation. Don't waist your money.

Review for Discontinued Hyper Glide Ski Climbing Skins with Pomoca Tail Clips – 100mm
The plastic tail clips do not work well. On a recent trip near Silverton CO (steep backcountry) the tails kept coming off. Had to resort to straps around the skis to keep them on. Others in the party with different brands did not have a similar problem. I wish Voile had a solution for this problem. I wouldn't buy these skins because of the tail clips. BTW- I love my Ultravector and Manti skis.
