    See you in Hokkaido.

From the wild ranges of North America to the mythic Japanese islands — snow surfers the world over have a new reason to celebrate. Introducing the Voile Hyper V-Tail, a powder surfing machine built for the deepest days. Its wide rockered nose and V shaped tail mean serious business, coacting to keep you afloat in otherwise chokable powder. It has a medium flex and long running length, with enough camber underfoot to provide purchase on steeper slopes and firm snow. These all combine to make surprisingly easy work of long uphill treks in search of the best lines.

When massive storm cycles unload their goods, the Hyper V-Tail’s wake is an arcing wave of heavenly powder. Your most sedate friends would become aroused at the display, but alas: there are no friends on powder days. An ultra-lightweight paulownia core and Voile carbon weave construction mean that you abandoned them on the approach miles ago. But hey, at least you broke trail for them, right?

    Shape & Profile

Voile Hyper V-Tail Splitboard Camber Profile

    Ultralight

Full Cap / Paulownia / Double Carbon
Ultralight paulownia construction that shaves nearly a pound for easier ascents.

    Icon

    Anti-Ice Topsheet
Crafted from exceptionally durable polyamide material, and designed with a unique texture that effectively reduces the accumulation of snow and ice. This innovative feature is particularly beneficial during long approaches or in freezing conditions, where snow and ice buildup would normally hinder performance.

    Icon

    Paulownia Wood Core
Renowned for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, this paulownia delivers a combination of durability and featherlight agility. It's the ideal foundation for constructing ultralight touring skis, making it the perfect choice for backcountry enthusiasts seeking maximum efficiency and agility on their mountain adventures.

    Icon

    Voile Carbon-Weave x2
Two layers of Voile Carbon-Weave combine the lightweight strength of carbon fiber with the durability of triaxial fiberglass. The strategic integration of carbon fiber into the ski's construction reduces the weight while providing the perfect blend of responsiveness, stability, and energy transfer, allowing skiers to maneuver with precision and control.

    Icon

    Triaxial Fiberglass
Triaxial fiberglass increases dimensional stability along three axis, providing for balanced torsional stiffness and enhancing your ability to control the ski (precise and firm edge grip). Triaxial fiberglass maintains a consistent flex pattern throughout the ski, ensuring predictable performance across different snow conditions and skiing styles.

    Icon

    Full-Contact Steel Edge
Steel edges provide superior grip and control on hardpacked snow and icy conditions, enhancing stability and confidence while skiing. Two lengths of hardened steel with inset teeth wrap the perimeter of this ski. Each section is painstakingly shaped by hand to ensure a precise layup.

    Icon

    Sintered Black Base
This ski passes on the base graphics for the sake of an ultra-high molecular density base; making for faster downhill performance and greater wear/impact resistance. And you can rest assured that your p-tex repairs will be seamless after your day spent breaking the sound barrier.

Bought this thing during our mega February powder month and it made me fall in love with snowboarding all over again. Rails long radius turns or swivels like a fish through the trees. Holds it's own in the firm steeps as well. Absolutely a blast of a ride! Plus it came with canted pucks!!!! Voile nailed it with this thing! Also, it's pretty fun to silly ski on. 😂

I live in Hokkaido Japan the Japow Capital . I guide here in the backcountry and have been using Volie splitboards as my main touring board for years. 3 years ago I bought the 180 Hyper Vtail split instant love for this board touring is easy and just eats all terrain from steep and deep to tight trees and crud handles it all with ease ! Looking forward to stepping into the new model and going up to 190 as the 180 rides like a hard 165 or so ! So Im looking for more float and fun ! look out to all my clients they will be wanting to up grade as well once they see how good it is !

    My new favorite board!

My new favorite board! I have it in a 190cm and it is an absolute blast to ride, for reference, I'm 5'10 and I typically ride a 164w in a non v-tail board. Obviously the hyper-v excels in deep powder but it also is great on corn, and for carving on groomers if taken to the resort. In the 190cm size, this board is most at home in open fields of powder but it is still very maneuverable in the trees of the backcountry zones of 'vermont' that I frequent.
