I remember worrying about so many things, \u201c<em>Will the company think I\u2019m ungrateful for not taking the credit myself?<\/em>\u201d or \u201c<em>I\u2019m not an insta-famous athlete, will anyone even apply?<\/em>\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>My heartbeat thumped double-time while I waited for Voile to reply.&nbsp;<br>And once they did, it was a solidifying reminder of why I am honored to be a part of their Ambassador program &#8211; they not only loved the scholarship idea, but donated even more gear for the prizes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Fast forward a few months, and we had just shy of 100-entries to the first year ever of the Brooke Jackson Scholarship for Women in the Backcountry. I was blown-away! Reading each of the entries made my heart glow, and at times, ache. There are so many women out there being badasses every day in their own rights, fighting battles not a lot of folks will probably ever see or know. I continue to be inspired by so many of you.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, here we are. 2021 may be finally freakin\u2019 over &#8211; but the reality it created is not. I know that speaking from a personal level, the last year took a toll mentally, emotionally, and financially. Those ripples aren\u2019t going away just because it\u2019s 2022, either.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Which is why, while I continue to be grateful for the support Voile gives me through my backcountry journey, I am paying it forward once again. ELIGIBILITY: Each Wandering Trails Scholarship for Women in the Backcountry (\u201cPromotion\u201d) is offered and open only to legal residents of such jurisdiction(s) as stated in the advertisement for such Promotion (\u201cPromotion Advertisement\u201d) who are age 21 or older at time of entry. Void in all other states and where prohibited. Prize must be redeemed within 1 year of winning date.&nbsp;Current Voile Mfg. employees, partners, and ambassadors are restricted from entering this contest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. PROMOTION PERIOD: The Wandering Trails Scholarship for Women in the Backcountry Promotion starts on the start date indicated on the Promotion Advertisement and, unless otherwise stated on a Promotion Advertisement, ends on or about 5:00:00 pm MST on the end date indicated on the Promotion Advertisement (\u201cPromotion Period\u201d). Sponsor\u2019s clock is the official time keeping device for the Promotion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. HOW TO ENTER: Follow any entry instructions as set forth on the Brooke Jackson Scholarship for Women in the Backcountry Promotion Advertisement. Submit an essay with a minimum of three photos of the applicant pictured somewhere in the photo. All entries must be submitted through the Google Forms link provide in the Promotion advertisement. Entries that are submitted via email, social media messengers, or any other formats will be considered incomplete and not considered. All entries become the property of Sponsor and posted to their website for public visibility. SELECTION OF WINNERS: Sponsor will conduct judging on or about the date(s) indicated on the Wandering Trails Scholarship for Women in the Backcountry Promotion Advertisement, from all eligible entries received to such date. Entries will be judged by Sponsor: ambassador Brooke Jackson and female Voile Mfg employees. Other employees or V-Team ambassadors may be required to help judge if the volume of submissions is overwhelming. Finalists essays to be selected&nbsp;<strong>based on<\/strong> <strong>a combination of narrative quality, compelling intentions, clarity of stoke, empathy and approachability of story. <\/strong>A winner will be selected from among these finalists using popular vote from the judging panel. The too will determine the runner up winner. Only one entry per participant will be considered. Sponsor will select the number of winners indicated on the Promotion Advertisement. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received and the number of prizes to be given away. Potential winner(s) will be contacted via the email address provided at the time of entry, or such other method as may be practical in Sponsor\u2019s discretion, within 5 to 10 business days after the selection of winners. You are not a winner until Sponsor has verified your eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules. Potential prize winners may be required to complete, have notarized and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability and, where legal, Publicity Release within seven (7) calendar days of notification or attempted notification. PRIZE(S) AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (ARV): Grand prize consists of a credit of $1,600 USD to be used towards a pair of Voile skis or splitboard, bindings, shovel, probe, pole, and crampons \u2013 as stated in the Wandering Trails Scholarship for Women in the Backcountry Promotion Advertisement. The runner-up prize consists of a credit of $1,200 USD to be used towards a pair of Voile skis or splitboard. The number of prizes to be given away, their description(s) and approximate retail value is as indicated on the Promotion Advertisement. <em>Voile cannot provide or guarantee equipment that is low inventory or out of stock. Prize orders will be treated as regular customer orders.<\/em> Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value based on inventory. Prize(s) are not redeemable for cash. No substitution or transfer of prizes will be permitted except at Sponsor\u2019s sole discretion. All federal, state and local taxes and other fees associated with prize receipt and use are the sole responsibility of the winner. At Sponsor\u2019s discretion, winner may be required to pick up their prize at a specified location within a reasonable time period (as determined solely by Sponsor), or prize may be mailed to winner approximately sixty (60) days after the end of the Promotion Period, to the address provided by winner at time of prize acceptance. Prizes may be provided or mailed unassembled. Winner is solely responsible for assembling or arranging for the assembly of any unassembled prizes upon receipt. Prizes will be delivered to winners approximately 30 (days) after the end of the Promotion Period and verification\/confirmation of winners and before the event, either by mail, private delivery service, or in-person immediately prior to the event for which the tickets are valid, at Sponsor\u2019s sole discretion. Promotions that are equipment rentals must be used during the date specified, or such other date established by Sponsor.
